- What is The Tea Sack?
- The Tea Sack is a hand-thrown stoneware teapot by ceramicist Steven Huijgens. It is a working teapot, with a proper lid, a real strainer, and a spout that pours a smooth stream exactly where you point it. Only 200 are made, then never again.
- Who makes it?
- Steven Huijgens, who has spent more than five years building ceramics for Michelin-starred restaurants across Europe under Platez Ceramics in Hulst, the Netherlands. No molds, no factory runs. Each piece is thrown and finished by hand.
- How much does it cost?
- €180, VAT included. One per person.
- Which glazes can I choose?
- Two: matte clear, a clear matte glaze over raw stoneware, and matte black, a deep matte black glaze.
- Which countries do you ship to?
- Shipping is free within the Netherlands and Belgium. We also ship to the rest of the European Union, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Norway, the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Japan. The exact shipping rate is shown at checkout before you pay.
- When will it ship?
- Pre-orders ship from the end of July 2026. You get a notification the moment your piece is on its way.
- Is it dishwasher safe?
- Yes. Top rack, normal cycle.
- How many are made?
- Exactly 200, one per person. There is no restock and no second run.
- What if it arrives broken?
- Every parcel ships insured with track and trace. If your piece arrives damaged, you get a full refund.
